The New Bing Is All You Need: Part 1- How to Use Bing’s New Sidebar to Summarize Web Pages/PDFs
The new Bing is Microsoft’s ChatGPT-powered search engine that reinvents how you interact with and benefit from the web. It gives you complete answers to your questions, lets you chat with an intelligent assistant that can help you with various tasks, and lets you experience search in a new way that is more natural, conversational and engaging.
However, even after clearing the waitlist, many of great features of the new Bing may still not be directly accessible. One of them is the sidebar, which can summarize web pages and PDF files for you and provide more details if you need them. This is the real golden feature as I’ve already been using the sidebar to digest long papers and summarize/tutor me on specific sections.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to use Bing’s sidebar to summarize web pages/PDFs in a few easy steps.
Step 1: Download Edge Browser Dev Version
To use new Bing’s, you need to use Microsoft Edge, which is a web browser that integrates with Bing and other Microsoft services. To use the AI sidebar, you need to use Microsoft Edge Dev. You can download Edge Dev for free from [here](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge).
